NEW DELHI: Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad on Friday asked his party workers to be ready for elections which he claimed “can happen anytime”.
“I appeal to all party workers to be ready, as elections can happen anytime. Modi’s government in Delhi is very weak and it can fall by August,” he said.
The former Bihar chief minister was speaking at the party foundation day event in Patna.

In the same event, Tejashwi Yadav also attacked former ally Janata Dal (United) and ” … Those from Janata Dal United, compromised with their ideology due to their greed for power and allied with BJP. RJD is the only party which has neither compromised nor kneeled before BJP. Being in power is not the biggest thing,” he said.
The former deputy CM also asserted that the RJD’s fight is for the weak and deprived.
“In Lok Sabha elections, our vote share increased by 9%, while NDA’s vote share was reduced by 6%. Today, RJD has won 4 seats. We could have won more. Even then, our alliance has won 9 seats in this Lok Sabha polls,” he said.
RJD, which is part of opposition INDIA bloc, has questioned the stability of Modi 3.0 government as the BJP was unable to win majority on its own in Lok Sabha elections 2024.
